One from a series of Motherwell shots.
Motherwell a once proud industrial town, suffered badly under the sweeping changes imposed as a previous shower of numpties tried to break the backs of the unions and the reliance the working class had on state funded industries.. In this case the steel works.
Still reeling from this the town has not really recovered with a low take up rate from more highbrow companies the town centre is pitiful and the 2nd / 3rd generational unemployment high.
The Heritage Centre explores this working past but offers little to point to the future am afraid.
